Pico Invaders — invaders, a MicroPython interface for a 128×64 display

About this display design

Pico Invaders is a MicroPython user interface for a 128×64 pixel display, shared by the Lopaka community. You are viewing the "invaders" screen.

MicroPython runs Python 3 directly on microcontrollers such as the ESP32 and Raspberry Pi Pico. Its framebuf module draws text, shapes, and bitmaps for small displays.

Each layer becomes its own drawing call in the exported MicroPython code: text keeps its font, icons and images become bitmap arrays, and shapes become lines, rectangles, and circles, so the code stays readable and easy to change by hand.

How to get the MicroPython code for this screen

  1. Copy the generated MicroPython code from the code panel and paste it into your sketch or firmware.
  2. Tune the code settings next to the panel, such as how images and fonts are exported.
  3. Star the project to keep it in your Favourites tab of the Gallery.
  4. Fork the project to save your own copy in My Projects. Forking needs a free Lopaka account.
  5. Edit the text, shapes, icons, and images in your copy, and the code updates as you work.
  6. Keep the 128×64 canvas for the same display, or resize it to fit your screen.
  7. Publish your version to the Gallery to share it with the community.
