This winter was very productive, and you all provided a lot of valuable feedback. Keep it going! Lopaka.app was created by a community of volunteers and has always been backed by users' requests. Let's see what new features we have for you.

Byte array import ​

We improved the image import wizard and added a field where you can paste the code, and Lopaka will parse a byte array from it. One image at a time, please 🙏

Also now you can drag&drop images to import wizard from other windows.

Sharing options ​

Export current screen as a PNG, BMP or plain text file. Available for Plus users.

Redo ​

Do you like to undo with CTRL+Z? Now you can redo back in time with CTRL+SHIFT+Z 🤯

Paste code ​

Now you can paste source code and it will be parsed into layers. Works similar to code import and appends new layers to existing design. Copy code from somewhere, click to focus on source code in Lopaka editor, make paste 🪄

Bug fixes and improvements ​

  • Importing code does not erase the current layers anymore.
  • Merging layers with U8g2 XOR mode is now correct.
  • Fixed undo glitches; undo works much better now
  • More realistic screens proportions in Projects list

Winter challenge results ​

There is one thing that made me sad last month: our winter challenge. It seems we failed to provide good motivation for you. Basically, people didn't participate. There are so many beautiful projects in our Gallery. Nevertheless, nobody gave enough stars — the maximum was 3 stars. 😪 However, one person caught my attention. Salim Benbouziyane re-created the infamous Focus Dial from scratch. You'd better see it for yourself; it's gorgeous:
