I want to start something new with the community.
Starting this month, I'm giving away a free Plus subscription every month — to the author of the most popular public project in the Lopaka gallery.
Popularity is measured simply: stars + forks earned during that calendar month. Each star and each fork your project receives within the month counts as one point — previous totals don't carry over. The project with the highest score on the 1st wins.
A couple of rules to keep it fair: the same project can't win twice, so once a project takes the prize it's out of future rounds. But if you win with one project, you're absolutely welcome to enter a different project next month.
Why am I doing this?
I know a lot of you build really impressive things with Lopaka — custom dashboards, smart home displays, wearables, retro handheld devices. But most of these projects stay hidden. I want to change that.
Sharing your work inspires others. It shows what's possible. And honestly, it helps Lopaka grow — which means I can keep building it.
How to enter
It takes about 30 seconds:
- Open your project in Lopaka
- Go to Project Settings → set visibility to Public
- Hit Share → Copy Link
- Post the link wherever your people are — Reddit, Discord, Twitter, your blog, anywhere
Anyone who opens your project in the gallery can ⭐ Star it (to save it as a favourite) or 🍴 Fork it (to copy it into their own workspace). Both actions count toward your score. The more useful and shareable your project, the more points it earns. 🌟
The prize
The winning project author gets 1 month of Lopaka Plus — unlimited projects, custom fonts, all the good stuff.
I'll announce the winner on the 1st of every month. If you're already a Plus subscriber and you win, I'll extend your subscription by a month.
